About OAYEC: Partnerships
OAYEC's success is founded on the strength of our partnerships.
OAYEC builds partnerships with provincial and national organizations, including governments, corporations, foundations and non-profit centres and groups. Our partnerships provide a foundation for OAYEC to build a strong network of youth employment services across the province of Ontario.

A Commitment to Training and Employment for Women (ACTEW)
A Commitment to Training and Employment for Women (ACTEW) is an umbrella group of agencies and programs delivering employment and training services to women in Ontario. ACTEW and OAYEC frequently collaborate, and is a member of the shared News, Events and Jobs content constellation.
The Counselling Foundation of Canada
The Counselling Foundation of Canada, a family foundation funded by Frank G. Lawson and his estate was incorporated in Ontario in 1959. The Foundation was formed to create and enrich counselling programs and improve the technical skills of counsellors. The object of the Foundation is to engage in charitable and educational activities for the benefit of people, thus enabling them to improve their lifestyles and make a more effective contribution to their communities. The CFC has been a staunch and significant supporter of OAYEC, providing crucial start-up funding for our youth volunteer program, the VYM Project, among others.
Ministry of Citizenship (MCZCR)
Through the Volunteer@ction.Online Program, MCZCR works in partnership with OAYEC to enhance our work and the effectiveness of the voluntary sector through the use of Internet technology and the World Wide Web. More recently, through the Community Sport Opportunity Fund, MCZCR funded OAYEC's research on youth retention in recreational leadership programs.
Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU)
MTCU and OAYEC have fostered a growing partnership throughout OAYEC's sixteen years of building the youth employment services network. Instrumental in enabling the Job Connect program across the province, MTCU collaborates with OAYEC to review the program across the province.
Ontario Alliance of Career Development Practioners (OACDP)
The Ontario Alliance of Career Development Practitioners is an inclusive organization that provides strategic leadership to the Ontario partners in career development. They promote best practices through the communication of information and the adoption of common standards and guidelines to enhance client-centered service delivery.
Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI)
OCASI is a council of autonomous non-governmental community-based agencies serving immigrants and refugees, which has as its mission the achievement for immigrants and refugees of equality, access and full participation in every aspect of Canadian life.
Ontario Network of Employment Skills Training Projects (ONESTEP)
The Ontario Network of Employment Skills Training Projects (ONESTEP) is a province-wide umbrella organization for organizations that sponsor projects that help unemployed people prepare for, return to and/or maintain employment. OAYEC and ONESTEP's collaborative efforts work to strengthen Ontario's employment services.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation
The Ontario Trillium Foundation works with others to make strategic investments to build healthy, sustainable, and caring communities in Ontario. The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Recreation is funded by the Government of Ontario from Ontario's charity casino initiative. The Foundation provided substantial seed money to assist OAYEC in the development of the Volunteer Youth in the Millennium Project. More recently, Trillium has become the founding funder of OAYEC's EVIDENCE initiative.
